This week, being the week before Easter, I thought I would be able to rest and relax. I was hoping to go to the beach, the movies and maybe even have a lazy day just staying home all day.

The week didn’t turn out this way. Begging with having to go get blood drawn on Monday. This is a routine set of labs I have had to get for the last five years because of my epilepsy.

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday morning I had driving class. Driving for an hour and a half for two days straight is too much; I don’t know how people do that every day. Thursday was more intimidating for me because my mother joined us as an observer for that class. The point was so she could see how I’m doing and how much I have improved. She also got to speak a lot with my instructor, know what his plans are for me and how she can help me.

After the class, we went to IKEA to pick up a desk and a chair I ordered. What I thought would be a quick trip to the store, turned out to be an hour and a half of us sitting there waiting for them to give me my order. They didn’t know their lack of organization almost made them face the anger of a tired and hangry woman. I didn’t get to tell them how I felt but I wrote them a very nice review.

If that wasn’t all, that same night I helped Jose put together my new desk. This was a first for be because I had never built anything, but I read the instructions and told Jose what to do.

I think that was impressive because it didn’t take that long and I’ve heard IKEA instructions are difficult to follow. I only got confused once and that’s nothing considered it was my first time and my whole TBI history.

It wasn’t all driving class and building furniture, I also went to the beach twice, which is always a lot of fun so I really can’t complain at all, but I am so tired today. This may also be my eternal tired feeling after the TBI but greater; it’s almost like I’m tired on top of being tired.

Apart from this, it was a good week; it was nice to get away from the routine, do the things you were meaning to do but had no time for, go to the beach and spend time with family. This small change of pace will make next interesting, but well see how it goes, there’s no use in worrying about it now.
