It doesn’t end! I moved in exactly one week ago, last Friday and I just unpacked the last of my stuff; I think. One week to unpack everything! That’s too much.

But, unpacking doesn’t mean everything is in their right place, it just means I don’t have anymore boxes, but it’s still a little messy. Theres stuff I don’t know where to put and I keep finding stuff to donate. Why do I have clothes that haven’t fit me in years and books I never read? Why didn’t I donate them before?

I knew moving was a mess, I have moved before, but now I’m wondering how I fit all this stuff into one room and now I can’t find how to fit it all in my apartment. My room was big but I have a lot more room here in this apartment. I had a lot of stuff in boxes in my closet, like movies, CDs and books, which I put in the living room and can’t decide how to organize them so it’s all there just waiting for me to decide what I want to do with it. Do I alphabetize them, or divide them into genres or do I keep the mess? I don’t know!!! It’s not a problem because it’s not in the way so I can keep ignoring that for as long as I want.

Even though it still looks messy with all empty boxes in a corner, decorations I still haven’t decided where to put all over the place and almost every corner has a little pile of random stuff I really don’t know what to do with, I love my apartment! It’s mine! I’m responsible for it but I can also do what I want. I can organize it how I want and do what I want to do.

Aside from those little messes, I’m impressed with myself; I thought I was going to be a disaster at this moving thing but I discovered that it’s a lot easier if you organize a little everyday. It’s difficult for me to spend too much time focused on one thing, if I do that my mind goes blank and I don’t get anything done. If I do a little bit one day and move on to the another thing with a clear mind the next day, I actually get things done and I see a difference everyday. I feel more productive this way and it has worked out so far

I can’t take all the credit, I still have a lot of help everyday from my grandfather and step-dad who won’t rest until this is perfect and my aunts giving me tips on what to do and not to do. My amazing team has been here with me all the way and I can’t thank them enough.

And that reminds me, I have to cover the whole on the window so lizards don’t come in!
