Well, I tried working out following the posters we have on the walls for a couple of days but I decided to go back to videos. I just couldn’t get used to having to pause to look at a routine and not knowing if I was doing it right. There were some I didn’t know how to do by looking at the pictures. I figured I can do those once in a while it I don’t think I can make a routine out of that.
So I decided to go back to something I can follow, where I can see how it’s done. Yesterday I began Insanity: Max 30. This is tough but it’s only 30 minutes long.
I already survived the first two days, I think I can do this for two months. The two videos I have done so far have been a lot of work, especially the first one, Cardio but I’m not scared. I know I can do this, even if it takes me some time to get it right, I can do it. I can always follow the moderator on things I can’t do that well, which is what I do when I’m still getting used to it.
I like the feeling of being able to do something even remotely close to what I used to do before the accident or things I didn’t think I could do after the accident. I still don’t think I can do the original Insanity videos again, but who knows? For now, this is close enough.
It’s only thirty minutes, I can do this.
