New York City Day 10: Little Island, High Line, Chelsea Market, The Vessel, Little Spain, Hudson Yards
As our vacation started to come to an end, we still had a few things to see, so on our last day started walking again.
First on the list was a place called Little Island.
I had no idea what it was, except that is was small island, but it’s the cutest park with a great view.

After walking around and exploring Little Island, we walked to Chelsea Market, considered one of the world’s great food and retail marketplaces. Next we headed to the High Line, which led us to our next destination Hudson Yards. The first thing we saw as we got there was the Vessel, right outside.

Then, as we walked into the mall, we quickly found the main attraction we were looking for, Mercado Little Spain, by Chef José Andrés.
This is a market with a variety of delicious foods, and drinks from Spain. Everything looked and smelled delicious but we had just had lunch at Chelsea Market, so we just had some churros, which were really good too.

Then wee walked around the rest of the mall, before heading back to turn in and rest up for our trip back home the next day. We couldn’t be sad that it was the end of our vacation because we had a great time, saw a lot in New York City and got to spend time with family and friends.
But I was happy to get home, rest and see my dogs again.
I’m an aspiring writer still looking for exactly what I want to write about, with a lot of creativity, imagination and desire to write.
I studied Writing and Rhetoric at Syracuse University where I explored many different sides of writing through my classes and extracurricular activities in order to narrow my search for an identity as a writer.
I have written for Citrus TV Noticias and La Voz magazine, both of which gave me the chance to explore different mediums in which to write in. Through Citrus TV Noticias I also gained experience in translating from English to Spanish and vice versa, which is also something that I would be interested in working on since I am fluent in both of these languages. I was also an intern at Syracuse University Press where I got hands on experience in what goes into actually editing and publishing a book.
Through out the last four years I have faced a lot of challenges, which helped chape the person I am today. After being in a tragic car accident, being in comma, having a Traumatic Brain Injury, and being in therapy for over a year, I am a new me, willing to face challenges and knowing how to deal with them. I want to write about my accident and life after it to help others, show them it can be done and help in any way I can.
