Merry Christmas!!! I hope you all had a great Christmas.
On this, the best day of the year, we decided to switch up our tradition a little bit. Instead of the usual Christmas lunch after opening presents we decided to have a delicious Christmas brunch. There were eggs, waffles, bacon, bread, coffee, ham, orange juice, my Diet Coke and omelets. Everyone was very satisfied with our non-traditional brunch.
After exchanging and opening presents and eating we also went a little out of tradition by going to the movies. On Christmas we stay home, but today we went to the movies to see the very awaited Mary Poppins Returns.
I was really looking forward to the sequel of one of my favorite movies of all time, a movie I watched over and over as a child. Being able to see the continuation of this story, who the Banks children grew up to be and see Mary Poppins appear in their lives again, as magical as always was just the best for someone who grew up with that movie. I heard a lot of mixed opinions about the movie from family and from an article I read before watching it, but for me, the whole idea and world in which Mary Poppins lives is simply wonderful.
So what if there is no song like a Spoonful of sugar or Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, you have to go see a 93 year old Dick Van Dyke dance.
That was a great way to spend an already good Christmas Day with my family.
