Yesterday I got back from a short trip to Chicago. This was my first trip there and I had no idea what to expect, I mean I had heard great things about it but every city I have been to is very different. I was surprised by how clean and easy to get around it was. My aunt and I walked all around the city and didn’t get lost or felt unsafe at any moment.

As I said, I had been told good things about Chicago, but I was very surprised by how much I liked it. We walked all over the city and went to some of the most iconic places in Chicago, which are really a must see. We visited Millennium Park and saw and took pictures in front of “Cloud Gate”, also know as “The Bean”,

saw the Jay Pritzker Pavilion,

the Millennium Monument,

and Buckingham Fountain,

walked up Nichols Bridgeway,

visited the Art Institute,

Field Museum,

and went on the Architecture River Tour through the Chicago River.

But I couldn’t leave Chicago without visiting the Willis Tower (originally the Sears Tower).

A Word of advice, don’t look down when you step on the SkyDeck.

I was surprised by all we were able to see in just two days and before going to what we were in Chicago for, my friend’s baby shower. As much as I really enjoyed Chicago, but seeing my friend and her husband about to become parents, surrounded by the people the love, was probably the best part. I am so happy to have been invited to share that special moment with them and to have been able to go. I loved seeing them and how well they are doing, being able to sit and talk to my friend and I am very happy for them and can’t wait to meet their baby.
