I’m not known for my political opinions or comments, you haven’t seen much of that here, except on special occasions and this is one of those. As you already know, I am puertorrican, born and raised on the island. If you have been following the upcoming U.S. elections, you have heard the recent “jokes” made by “comedian” Tony Hinchcliffe about my home and Puertoricans.

Hinchcliffe, being a Republican and Trump supporter, claims everything he said were just “jokes” and we’re being too sensitive, but I don’t know how not to be sensitive when he is calling my home “a floating island is garbage”. How dare he? He is not only insulting my home but me, my family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, everyone who lives here too. Being offended by that is not being sensitive, it’s having ears, listening and understanding what they are saying about us and how he and a lot of people see us.

Now I would like to say a lot more but I am going to leave you with someone who can say it a lot better than I can, my brother Andres, a.k.a. El Cayito:
