This morning I went to the first showing of The Jungle Book at the movies. The movie was supposed to start at 10:00 a.m. We got there much earlier, even while we got popcorn and drinks, that was my breakfast, we were still the first ones in the theatre. As we waited, the rest of the audience started to come in; by the time it started the room was pretty full, considering it was a Saturday morning.

From what I remember of the 1967  animated movie, which according to my mom, my brother and I watched multiple times everyday when we were little, this one was very loyal to the original . I haven’t watched that one in years, even before the accident, so I can’t say I remembered that much, but as I watched I remembered parts of the plot.

All of the animals were so realistic, I really can’t believe they did that. There were times I thought they were real animals, but how can they make them do all that, I thought. They obviously weren’t real, but it’s amazing how they can make you think they’re real.

I was reliving my childhood a few times, watching Baloo and Mowgli sing The Bear Necessities, and King Louie sing I wanna be like you. I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
