So, I had seen something about finding links between music and epilepsy.  I didn’t really think much about it, but then I started reading about it.  Now it looks like they’re really on to something.

Apparently, music is perceived in the same place in the brain where seizures begin.  Through studies, neurologists have learned that the temporal lobes of people with epilepsy synch with music, as opposed to the brains of people without epilepsy.  These studies are not complete yet, but they think that listening to music to relax could help prevent seizures because one of the triggers for seizures is stress.

The links bellow offer more (and better) information.
