President Obama has a new plan that I think should have been passed a long time ago
I have heard about this before but it didn’t sound like a real thing, and now it does.

This law would mean that “anyone with a severe disability is eligible to have the government discharge their federal student loans. The law will identify those who are elegible for this and guide them through the steps to dismiss their loans.” Through this, they will no longer have to explain to anyone why they cannot pay for their loans.

I think this is a law that should have been passed a long time ago. If you have a severe disability, can’t work, or all your money goes to medical expenses, then you can’t pay loans, it’s as simple as that.

To my knowledge this law does not apply to Puerto Rico, only the 50 states.
