My first attempt in taking a graduate class didn’t go as well as I hoped, but I am ready to try again. I will start by taking one class in the Post Graduate Certificate at the best communications college in Puerto Rico, Universidad de Sagrado Corazon or Sacred Heart University. This will be just one more attempt to see how I have improved and how ready I am to study again. Hopefully, I will do well in this class.

Seeing what this program has to offer was a great experience. The professors made us all feel very welcome. They all know very well that the job industry today is pretty hard to get into, but they encouraged us not to sit there and just wait for a job, but to create our own job.

I was very impressed with all the new things they are doing at the university, from new class rooms to new and innovative programs.  They are providing master’s degrees and certificates for the new job market, like Digital Journalism, which is the certificate I am interested in. I think these classes will give me a lot of ideas and will help me improve my blog, which they said they help students create. The whole time they were talking about it I just thought what if we already have one and want to make it bigger and better? Who knows, but I’m sure I’ll get ideas or at leas get a little help.

I don’t know how I will be able to pay for this with my salary, even if it’s just one class, and still pay for medicine and my student loans. I may need to ask for help funding this next educational attempt, but I have a feeling this one will be worth it. I think being in the same classroom as the professor will be good for me and my attention. I have already started the process of asking for help due to my condition, and some people at the university already know about me and my accident. I don’t want to use this as an excuse to get a free pass, I would like not to tell people about this, but I cannot put this behind me, I need help.
