This was the last weekend of 2024 and it did not disappoint. On Saturday I was going the Freddy’s Runners annual Christmas party. I was a little nervous, not knowing many people since I joined the group only three months ago. Thankfully, my friend Ana, who was the one who told me about Freddy’s Runners was there to give me a ride, and introduced me to a lot of people and keep me company.

I met a lot of different people, all very nice and welcoming and even saw a couple of known faces I was surprised to see. The best moment of the night was when I met an Unstoppable María Follower! She made my night.

Godo is always there, assisting Freddy and always cheering us on. He call me super Kiki.

These runners can dance.
I was nervous about the party but it ended up being so much fun that I had trouble getting up on Sunday morning, and I didn’t even stay out too late.
I was already excited about finding races for next year, but I got even more excited when I talked to people. They talked about marathons, and even though I know I’m not ready for that, I’m excited about finding a 5k for January, maybe a race every month and possibly a half marathon next year.
I was told there are people who are trying to do one in every town in Puerto Rico and to me, that sounds like a very exciting challenge. This year I already did two in San Juan and one in Caguas; so that’s two down, only 76 to go.Hopefully I can get other people to join me.
