Tonight I joined Team Susie in one of their daily (or nightly) walks. We walked from Miramar, to Condado, and back. I had never joined Team Susie for one of these walks because I thought it would be boring, but it turns out it wasn’t. I spent the whole 1:30 talking to one of my mom’s cousins, who was also new to the Team Susie walking team, and like us, everybody else was talking to someone.
I had a great time walking and talking and I felt safe being in a group with eight other people. According to my watch, this helped me walk more than 10, 000 steps today. This is what I would ideally want to walk every day but very rarely achieve.
This team, which in the beginning consisted of 3 or four people, has grown to include 9, sometimes 10 people, motivating them to get out of their house, walk, move and talk to other people. It’s a very good way to spend your free time at the end of the day, talk to people, and be healthier.
Thank you #teamsusie! I had a great time, keep being awesome.
