Today I want to take the chance to, once again, thank my mom for always being there for us (my brother and me), through the good and the bad and never, ever letting us down. We disagree sometimes, she gets nervous when I drive, but some people don’t even want to get in the car with me, she does. I want to thank her for always believing in me, for giving me a job when no one else would, and for always helping me move forward.
I also want to thank my grandma who is another rock, always cheering me on, making me believe in myself. She raised my mom and three aunts to be four strong and successful women, just like her, who are all an example to follow. I want to thank all of them for being second mothers to me, for loving me like a daughter and always being there.
I am so lucky to have an amazing mom and four mother figures who have never let me down and taught me how to be strong. I learned to be unstoppable from them and I can’t think of a better day to thank them all and tell them how much I love them.
Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all the other moms, grandmas, aunts and other motherly figures. The world is a better place because of them and they deserve more than what we give them.
