When the quarantine started I promised myself I would organize my closet during this time I couldn’t leave my house. I thought I would be so bored staying home all day that I would be happy to organize my closet and have something to do.
I never did it during those first two weeks like I thought I would but it didn’t matter because the quarantine was extended. I kept doing other stuff like exercising, cooking, watching shows and movies, and writing. I wasn’t being lazy because I was doing other stuff, but if I’m being honest, I really didn’t feel like it.
Today is day forty something of quarantine and I finally ran out of excuses not to organize the closet. I tried to avoid it in the morning because I was really tired and I still am but I didn’t want to be a couch potato.
It wasn’t fun or easy, but I took my clothes out of the closet, moved the shelves and put the clothes back. When I put it all back I didn’t just hang it where ever but I also organized the clothes in the closet. Not only did I make more room, I found stuff in that mess like purses and pants I thought I accidentally threw away.
I’m glad I have been able be productive. I don’t know how much longer I would have put it off if I wasn’t stuck at home.
I know we’re all looking forward to the day we can go out again but we still can’t so, if you can’t think of anything else, look for more things you do around the house. I don’t paint the walls or organize my closet for fun but there’s nothing else to do. And it’s less boring if you listen to some music while you’re working, that makes everything more fun.
I already painted my walls and organized my closet but don’t know what else I can fix or paint around the house. I’ll have to think of something else.
