I just got the Covid19 booster dose and the flu shot.

I always prefer to get vaccines or blood drawn from my left arm. I know it’s an irrational fear but there’s something about the needle and the metal plate I have in my right arm that just makes me nervous. I just don’t want needles near that thing. So even though not recommended to get them on the same arm, you can still do it and I did.

I don’t know if I’ll regret it tomorrow and I know my arm is going to hurt a lot, but only one arm is going hurt, instead of both hurting. To make it less painful I’m following the instructions they gave me, at least what I remember, so I took Tylenol and I placed a cold compress on my arm. I will do the same thing tomorrow morning.

It doesn’t hurt now but it usually starts hurting the next day but I’m ready. I’m just going to take it easy tomorrow.

The process to get the appointment wasn’t difficult at all, getting the booster and flu shot was fast, it didn’t cost anything and I feel a lot safer now. I will keep doing everything I was doing before to stay safe and keep others safe, like always wearing my mask in public and keeping a safe distance, but this is just one more thing that is going to help keep everyone safe. It’s not just about you, this is about keeping everyone safe and ending this pandemic, we all need to do our part.

Remember: Wear a mask, wash your hands, keep a safe distance from others, get vaccinated, cover coughs and sneezes and watch your health
