What a year! I don’t even know where to begin. It was a year filled with fun and sometimes not so fun experiences.

I started the year with Covid I got during a trip to NYC and Boston. I kept traveling during the year, first to Chicago and then to New York and New Jersey. I don’t think I have traveled so much in one year since I was in college. I don’t know what I liked more, seeing new places and things or seeing friends and family, but there’s nothing that can beat a trip where you get to do all of that.

I was visited by friends, visited friends and made new friends too. I was also encouraged to get back into the dating scene after eleven years by my friends. That has been a very interesting adventure, sometimes a lot of fun and sometimes very difficult. Going back in, being out of that scene for so long has not been easy. It’s a mix of feelings I haven’t dealt with in so long I have reached out for  counseling for help in understanding and dealing with my feelings.

I’m still learning and looking forward to what will happen next and who I’ll meet. I’ve talked to a lot of different and interesting guys and met in person a few. This has definitely made my year very interesting and a lot of fun.

I also continued working out, even while it was difficult sometimes due to my work hours. I’m very proud of that because I worked out during the summer with record breaking high temperatures by waking up early. Being able to keep that promise to myself and stay in shape for another year makes me very proud.

I’m happy I had so many new and interesting learning experiences this year. Even the difficult parts and the moments when I’ve felt sad have been learning experiences that will help me in the future. I have been angry, sad but all of these difficult moments have been great learning experiences that I will take with me to the new year to make it even better.

And I can’t forget the most important thing, I had no seizures in 2023 and I’m hoping for the same in 2024.

I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe new year!
