I try to workout five days a week every week and that has become a normal routine for me. I have now been trying to squeeze in two different workouts when I have the time, one of the strength, HIIT, Pilates, Lickboxing or Yoga and then either use the stationary bike for anything between 10 to 30 minutes or do a Core Video for 10 minutes.

This morning , after I finished my HIIT workout, I noticed that all the videos and collections that have been added for the new year on Apple Fitness. Trying a challenge really got my attention. I have completed challenges before this time it’s different, it’s not about burning a certain number of calories, working out for a total number of minutes a in a month, reaching a goal a number of times; this one is a lot more difficult.

I decided to complete the 30-Day Core Challenge, where you complete a Core workout everyday for 30 days. Because I started the challenge this morning, that means I have to finish a core workout every day until February 6, not only a few times a week like I was used to.

These videos aren’t long, only five or ten minutes long each, which doesn’t seem hard, but I think that by the weekend I won’t want to do another core workout. For the first half of the month, all videos are five minutes long. To make it more fun and difficult halfway through, on day 16, they double the time with ten minute workouts.

I know this will be difficult and I will probably complain about my decision a couple of times during the next 30 days, but complaining doesn’t mean quitting. I will finish my first challenge of 2024.
