After a week of trying to decide what challenge I wanted to do this month, I decided on Improve Your Balance with Strength and Core. This is a short collection of lower body strength and core videos. These videos are short so I can do them before or after doing my cardio workout, which usually involves either HIIT or Kickboxing videos.

Today I completed my second day of this challenge, and even though these are only 10 minutes, lower body workouts get your heart rate higher and burn more calories during and after the workout so it feels like the workout was more than 10 minutes. I’ll probably do at least three of those this week so I’m really going to feel all those workouts by the end of the week.

This collection has two parts; the first one, Find Your Footing, has four strength and three core videos, 10 minutes each. The second one,On Solid Ground, has four 10 minute core and three 20 minute strength videos. Now I’m a little nervous about that second part. Three 20 minute strength lower body workouts in one week is going to be interesting. Even if I know I can do it, it’s going to be a little difficult , but I guess that’s why I started challenging myself to do at least one of these collections every month.
