Last weekend I finished the Three Perfect Weeks of Strength: Express Edition program on Apple Fitness. This program was just nine, 20 minute long Total Body strength workouts, if you did three a week you would finish in three weeks. I didn’t do three a week so it took me a little bit longer, more like two months because of different reasons.

Regardless of how long it took me, I’m proud that I finished another program and just after I finished that one, I found another that I think is really going to help me. It’s a yoga program for runners and initially I thought it might not be for me, it might be for more experienced runners but it’s called Yoga for Every Runner.

As I was looking at the workouts, the one that got my attention was the one called Stable Ankles. I have spent weeks with my ankle bothering me and I know that a strong lower body, including our ankles, is very important for runners.

I started the program with this workout, followed by one for Mobile Hips. All six workouts seem very helpful right now. I want to try all of them, maybe going back to the ankles as much as I can, at least until I see a doctor at the end of the month.

Today, I was feeling fine after running five miles so, I decided to keep going. I completed a 10 minute total body strength workout and five minutes of core. When I was finished, I went back to that yoga video for stable ankles. Then I thought, why not do a quick 5 minute cooldown?

That was the perfect way to end a very intense morning workout.
