People have different ideas of what epilepsy is and how you control it or how to control a seizure. The truth is, you can’t control someone having a seizure, and you shouldn’t try. But there are different types of epilepsy, and different kinds of seizures. There are some you don’t notice, the are the one’s I thought were the only kind of seizure, which involve uncontrollable moves of your arms and legs, and there are some that happen while you are sleeping.

Because I was diagnosed with epilepsy more than 3 years ago, it is very important for me to stay informed about it. I try to read all that I can, about anything that has to do with this and I can’t stress enough how much I want everyone to be informed about this, whether it’s for just general knowledge or for someone close to you.

I also want all of you readers to know that, the more you know about it, the less scary it becomes. When you learn that we are normal people, we can go on with our lives, you can’t catch epilepsy from anyone, and we are still the same people you knew before before we were diagnosed, you wouldn’t be scared either.

If we can come to terms with this, so can everybody else.
