For some unknown reason my back started hurting last Sunday. I thought it was odd since I didn’t remember hurting it but I thought it would be gone in a few days.
More than a week later, the pain doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and I still don’t know why it started. It’s not something I can’t handle, after a TBI you know what real pain is but I’ve had it for over a week, I don’t know what caused it and it doesn’t seem to be getting better. On the bright side it’s not getting worse, but it’s just there. It hurts when I get up and when I sit down, when I lean, stretch my arms for some reason, basically everything I have to do at work.
I don’t know what to do to make it go away except for taking Tylenol, acetaminophen is the only thing I can take to relieve pain since the TBI, and using pain relieving cream. I have just been taking it easy when I get home, I have not been working out, at least not since I tried to do yoga to feel better and it just hurt more.
I’ve had back pain before but it’s usually my upper back, closer to the neck. This is not even close to there, it’s only on my right side and closer to my ribs so I really have no idea what caused this.
The only thing I can blame it on, because I want to blame it on something, is age. I’m going to be 30 in a few months and I think my body decided to get me started on the body aches early. I don’t think it’s fair or that the body aches should start so early. My body should know by now that I’ve been through worse and that I don’t give up easy, it’s been over a week of this and it hasn’t taken me down yet.
