It took me a little longer than anticipated, but I finished the Apple Fitness Collection, Get Your legs in Great Shape Collection on Friday night.

I wasn’t sure whether I should do this last workout on Friday night or not because I knew I had to wake up on Saturday for what sounded like a pretty difficult run. I had to be in Viejo San Juan at 6:30 AM but I had no idea exactly what I would have to do, I just knew that it’s not easy to run in San Juan. Regardless, I decided to get it over with so I can move on to a different Collection and just hope that I wasn’t too tired to wake up at 5:30 and could make it in time.
I did make it to San Juan on time, where I was surprised to see a lot of people running. I did see people from my group, I recognized them because we were told to wear the group shirts, but there were so many other people, either in groups or just running on their own.
My coaches took it easy on me today and I didn’t have to do the same warm up run the rest of the group did, but I still had to run for two miles in San Juan. After I was done with my warmup, I joined the group running in the grass near El Morro Fortress, to the cones the coach set up.

We were lucky it didn’t rain this morning, which meant that there were no clouds and the sun was shining bright on us while we ran, but luckily our coaches are always prepared with a lot of water, Powerade and soda.

I really enjoyed my Saturday morning run with the group and getting to meet more people. I had never joined them on Saturdays because I didn’t want to wake up so early, but it’s the same time I wake up for races so that’s not really a good excuse. I should make it a habit to wake up to join them on Saturday, especially during summer when it’s already hot by 7 AM.
