I know I change this pretty often but recently found a new sort of workout routine. It’s not really a routine exactly but I found five different types of exercise that I like on Apple Fitness. These are Strength, Kickboxing, Yoga, Pilates, and HIIT.
Strength workouts are mostly done with dumbbells and they can target upper body, lower body or total body. Kickboxing is pretty new to me and I’m still trying to get the hang of it but I like it because it’s a total body workout that helps improve balance, coordination and cardio. I know my coordination needs a little work. Yoga is good for the days when I’m tired and don’t feel like working because it’s not intense or high intensity but you do get a good workout, and relax. Pilates is also new to me but it has been pretty easy to do because it is also low impact and I like it because is helps work on your arms, legs and core. Finally HIIT is High Intensity Interval Training. This one can be very challenging some times and I’ve found it’s better to do it at the beginning of the week, when I have a lot of energy and I’m tired yet. These are short energetic intervals followed by recovery periods.
Some people say that this isn’t the best way to exercise, that you should follow a routine, but right now I don’t want to do that. I guess Im a little bored of routines but I’m still exercising 5 days a week, the videos that I do each day are not that different. I like doing all these different types of workouts because I don’t get bored and since they’re not all high intensity and I don’t have a routine to follow, I can do whatever I want depending on my mood. Today I was tired from the rest of the week so I did yoga. It wasn’t easy because yoga is not easy and it was 45 minutes long.
I feel good because I worked out every day this week and I’m tired but I’m not exhausted. I like not having a routine but still having a plan to follow and being able to get 7 workouts this week.
