I finished my June Challenge yesterday! This was the Improve Your Balance with Strength and Core Collection on Apple Fitness,which included 14 strength and core videos. I did two, a Strength and Core Video every other day during the work week.

Since all the strength videos were lower body, halfway through the challenge I was exhausted. I couldn’t do another leg workout on Friday and I had only done two other’s that week. They got my heart rate higher and burn more calories, so doing those in addition to cardio and core was really making me work.

Even though these were short, the intense summer heat made them feel like they lasted twice as long and twice as difficult, especially when I did them in the evening after work.

I’m proud I was able to complete a challenge this summer, despite this heat. Hopefully I can be as strong and disciplined in July and do the same. So far I have completed six challenges this year and I will not let the heat stop me from completing another one.
